Title: Cauyumarie
Makes Medicine |
|
Here
we see Cauyumarie on the left, forming an herb, a plant as a remedy for
the disease of the spleen and this remedy is called ‘chacumi’ (not
clearly visible) in Huichol. We see a ill person lying down,
with a feather attached to his hand, which is the feather of healing.
And we see two plants, one is a bulb with leaves coming outwards from
it and the other one is a stock. I think JB Sanchez is talking
about medicinal plants in general, because Vaye in Huichol means
medicine.
